CENTRE FOR RESEARCH IN EARTH AND SPACE TECHNOLOGY
Research Assistant
The Human Performance Laboratory (HPL) of CRESTech comprises a team
of scientists and graduate students studying the mechanisms involved
in human spatial orientation.
The Research Assistant will conduct experiments on human subjects
using objective and psychophysical procedures to measure people=92s
perceptual judgments and eye movements; gather and analyze
experimental data and help in the preparation of reports and papers
for publication and presentation at conferences.
The successful candidate will have a MSc. degree or equivalent
experience in biology or experimental psychology, human engineering
or neuroscience with expertise in statistics and data analysis;
experience in the design of visual psychophysical experiments and
methods for measuring eye movements; and knowledge of visual science,
experimental design, and control theory.
This is a part-time position of approximately 28 hours per week.
This position is for 6 months with the possibility of renewal for
an additional six months.
