Persons with an interest in applied vision are encouraged to apply for a
tenure track position in the department of psychology at Wichita State
University.
The Psychology Department at Wichita State University seeks qualified
individuals to fill two tenure eligible assistant professor positions in
Human Factors Psychology, pending funding. We offer the Ph.D. in Human
Factors and Community-Clinical Psychology. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in
Psychology. Formal training in human factors psychology is preferred and
applied experience is desirable. Also desirable is research experience and
interest in one or more for the following areas: human-computer
interaction, aging, safety, aviation, medical systems and rehabilitation,
training methodology or related areas. This position requires active
research and publication, the ability to interact collegially, a
commitment to attracting external funding, and a strong commitment to
teaching. Teaching requirements may include both graduate and
undergraduate courses in human factors and other experimental areas.
Wichita State University is located in the state's largest city and major
industrial metropolitan area with a population of approximately a half a
million. Salary is competitive. Application deadline is November 15, 1997,
or the 15th of the month thereafter until the position is filled. Send a
