Opportunities exist for graduate studies in Vision Science and
Physiological Optics at the Indiana University School of Optometry,
Bloomington, Indiana. We offer graduate programs leading to degrees of
M.S., Ph.D.
Fields of study include:
Cornea and contact lenses
Invertebrate receptor cell biology
Low vision
Myopia development
Non-invasive assessment of visual functions
Ocular diseases
Ocular physiology
Psychophysical studies of normal and abnormal vision
Pediatric optometry
Visual optics
Sources of support for graduate studies:
1. Competitive Graduate Fellowships from Indiana University with an annual
stipend of $14,000 to $17,000. These fellowships include:
* Chancellor's Fellowship
* Women in Science Graduate Fellowships
* Chancellor's Minority Fellowship and the Dean's Minority Fellowship
2. Teaching Assistantships, Scholarships and International Student
Scholarships from Indiana University School of Optometry.
3. Research Assistantships from the Borish Center for Ophthalmic Research
and laboratories of individual faculty members.
