SPATIAL VISION: CALL FOR PAPERS

Special Issue on "Long Range Spatial Interactions in Vision".

Guest Editor: Dennis Levi

In recent years it has become clear that early stages of visual
processing incorporate long range spatial interactions. These
interactions underlie remote effects, context effects, grouping
processes, texture segmentation and more.
Following the 1998 FORUM OF EUROPEAN NEUROSCIENCE workshop on
"Long Range Spatial Coding by the Visual Cortex"
(announcement at www.visionscience.com/mail/cvnet/1997/0278.html),
Spatial Vision is devoting a (double) special issue to this
subject. Contributions from Machine Vision, Neurophysiology and
Psychophysics (theoretical and empirical) are all welcome;
comparisons between these disciplines are of particular
interest.

Manuscripts (x5) should be submitted not later than May 31, 1998.
Later contributions may possibly be considered for a later issue.
