VISITING SCHOLAR
The Department of Optometry wishes to appoint a Visiting Scholar
during the 1998 academic year for a ten week period. Applicants for
this position should have either a background in teaching or research
in optometry or visual science and would be expected to have a PhD or
equivalent or have a background in clinical optometry with evidence of
broad clinical experience, specialist diplomas or experience in
clinical teaching. Applicants with either background are encouraged
to apply and the duties associated with the post will be tailored to
the skills and interest of the person appointed. The salary will be
within the Senior Lecturer scale, depending on qualifications and
