POSTDOC POSITION IN HUMAN COMPLEX MOTION PROCESSING AND ITS MODULATION
BY LEARNING:COMPUTATIONAL VISION AND NEUROIMAGING

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position on an
interdisciplinary NIH funded project to investigate the properties of
complex motion (e.g.flow fields, dynamic 3-D objects) The position, for a
recent Ph.D., is funded in the NIH salary range and is available from 15
July 1998 initially for one year, with the possiblity of renewal for one
or two years.

Applicants should have a higher degree in experimental psychology,
biomedical engineering, neuroscience or other relevant area. Experience of
C and graphics programming (Macintosh, SGI platforms:Unix/X-windows/C
environment), computational modeling and visual psychophysics would be an
advantage. Previous work in visual motion perception and/or stereo is
desirable but not required. Techniques used in the project will include
psychophysical testing, structural and functional MRI, and computational
modelling.

Applications together with a C.V., statement of research interests and
experience, and the names, phone numbers and e-mail addresses of three
referees should be sent to: Professor Lucia M. Vaina, Brain and Vision
Research Laboratory, Biomedical Engineering, Boston University, 44
