The 29th European Mathematical Psychology Group (EMPG) meeting will
be held in Keele, Staffordshire, England, between August 31st and
September 3rd, 1998 (right after ECVP). Scientists and students from
Europe and all parts of the world are invited to participate.

TOPICS include:

Measurement Theory and Scaling:

Methodology
Levels of Measurement
Statistical Issues
Axiomatic Models
Geometric Models

Modelling Behaviour:

Vision
Speech & Hearing
Cognition (Knowledge Assessment, Learning, Memory, Attention)
Choice Behaviour (Decision Making, Reaction Times)

Special Sessions on the following topics are planned:

Perceptual Organisation and Cue Integration

TRAVEL TO KEELE:

Keele University is located between Birmingham and Manchester, near the
Peak National Park. The train journey from Oxford or London to Keele
lasts 2 hours. The airport closest to Keele is Manchester (30 miles).
