Undergraduate Summer Research at NYU

The Center for Neural Science at New York University is currently
accepting applications for the 1998 Hughes Undergraduate Summer
Research Program in Neural Science. Undergraduates completing their
junior year are invited to apply. The program will provide $2,500
stipends for twelve students. Funds are also available for room and
board and travel to and from New York City. The 9-week program begins
June 15, 1998 and ends August 14, 1998. Application deadline: February
27, 1998.

Requirements:

- Applicants should have strong academic records with courses in
biology, mathematics, chemistry and psychology and a GPA of at least
3.3. Undergraduates completing their Junior year at any US College or
University may apply.

Research opportunities include:

- developmental neurobiology
- sensory neurophysiology
- computational neuroscience
- psychophysics of vision
- neural basis of learning and memory
- neural basis of behavior
