Postdoctoral position in vision, Singapore.
The Singapore Eye Research Institute (SERI) proposes a postdoctoral
position in visual psychophysics.and computer vision The candidate will
participate to an experimental program for studying large field 3D vision
in moving observers. He will also be involved in a study combining
theoretical and experimental approaches of depth perception from motion
and other depth cues. The project is part of a multidisciplinary
consortium regrouping different Singapourean and overseas institutes.
The goal is to develop fundamental research leading to applied work for
improving myopia correction, and evaluating different types of myopia
treatment.
The candidate should have a background in computer science, and a strong
interest or skills in biological vision. Scientific publications are also
required.
The monthly appointement would be 3500 Sing $, corresponding roughly to
2200 US$. The position is available for 1 or 2 years from September 1998.
