POSITION AVAILABLE

Post-Doctoral Researcher in the Psychophysics of Vision and Attention

Working with George Sperling
in the Human Information Processing Laboratory
Departments of Cognitive Sciences and Psychobiology
University of California, Irvine

The projects in the laboratory involve:
Basic experimental research in processes of vision (particularly motion
and texture perception) and visual attention,
Theoretical work, including math models, computer simulations, and neural
network models
Brain imaging: fMRI, MEG, EEG

Special Requirements:
Facility with math & computers (C, UNIX) is essential; Mac, DOS, C++
desirable

Other:
The expected duration is two years, with possible additional years if the
work is successful
