Does anyone know who obtained the first PhD and MS degree about Optometry
in United Kingdom Universities?

For instance, I know that Dr Hofstetter received the first PhD Degree of
the Ohio State University School of Optometry, in Physiological Optics
(EEUU, 1942).

I have a great interest due to elaboration of a subject about "Optometry
European History"
