The Indiana University Cyclotron Facility (IUCF), School of Optometry
and Department of Ophthalmology are currently seeking a gifted graduate
student or first year post doctoral fellow who is interested in pursuing
post doctoral sudies in radiation biology. This powerful collaboration
at Indiana University is investigating the potential for proton
radiation therapy for Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD). The
position would involve basic research into the disease
mechanisms as well as the cellular and molecular mechanisms of external
beam radiotherapy intervention. This research will support the ongoing,
phase III clinical trials at IUCF in Bloomington, Indiana and the Royal
Victoria Hospital, Queen's University of Belfast, Northern Ireland.
