Subject: monitor positioning

Dear Hoover, could you please post this, I hope I'm sending to the right
address.
Thank you,
Sarah Pallas

I have been looking for a way to position a computer monitor around the
visual field of a rodent for electrophysiological receptive field mapping
experiments in vivo. I'e been told by the local camera shop that a regular
tripod is not sturdy enough to hold a monitor, because of its weight and
the fact that the weight is distributed toward the front. They suggest a
heavy duty movie camera mount that's about $3000. We need to be able to
reposition the monitor in 3 planes of rotation easily and lock it in place.
I wondered if any of you out there is cvnet land could provide some
suggestions?

Pleae respond to spallas@gsu.edu or bioslp@panther.gsu.edu.

Thank you for your help!
