PhD studentship in Cognitive/Systems Neuroscience available

The Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory at the University of Tuebingen is
looking for a PhD student. The lab is investigating the role of attention
in the processing of visual motion information (see Treue & Maunsell,
Nature 1996, 382: 539-541 or
<http://www.uni-tuebingen.de/uni/knv/treue.html>) using psychophysical
methods as well as extracellular recordings from single cells in awake
monkey visual cortex. The lab is an international and diverse group of
people with backgrounds in biology, physics and medicine. It is located in
Tuebingen, one of the most pleasant towns in Germany which is a premier
place for systems and cognitive neuroscience with numerous groups
interested in the visual system.
The successful applicant should have an undergraduate degree in science.
Knowledge of German is not necessary. A salary will be provided according
to the German pay scale (BAT IIA/2, approx. DM 25000 per year).
