Dear Dr. Chan,
Please post the following message on CVnet. Thanks, Joanne

I am a graduate student in the Department of Psychology at the
University of Western Ontario, who is interested in examining brightness
or glare sensitivity in a group of medical patients. Specifically, I want
to measure the tolerance of these individuals to bright light. Basically
I require an experimental apparatus that will allow me to easily present a
light source to a participant and subsequently increase its intensity
until that individual's level of unpleasantness is reached.
While the basic concept is straightforward, I am looking for
suggestions about simple (and inexpensive) apparatus to use in my study.
If anyone can suggest appropriate methods to study brightness/glare
tolerance in a measurable manner, or is aware of any commercial equipment
that would be appropriate for this purpose, I would appreciate hearing
from you. My e-mail address is jgillesp@julian.uwo.ca.
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely, Joanne Gillespie
