Postdoctoral positions. Laboratorio de Optica, Universidad de Murcia,
Spain

Postdoctoral candidates are being sought for studies of ocular
aberrations (including
development of new instrumentation) in the human eye wearing contact
lenses.
The positions are funded by the European Commission through a
BRITE-EURAM
research project.
Candidates must be nationals of any European Union member state and
hold a
recent Ph.D. degree. The proposed research topic requires a solid
background in
optical engineering and computer programming. Experience in
physiological optics
would be useful but it is not required and being fluent in Spanish is
not initially required.
The salary will be approximately 1600 ECU/month (to be confirmed by
the
European Commission) plus social benefits and the duration of the
positions are
up to three years. The post will be filled as soon as possible from
September 1998.
