Third NECI Vision Workshop: Electronic Proceedings

Organizers: Davi Geiger, NYU; David Jacobs, NECI; John Oliensis, NECI;
Nava Rubin, NYU; Robert Shapley, NYU; and Jeffrey Mark Siskind, NECI.

The Third NECI Vision Workshop on Learning and Development in Vision
was a four day workshop bringing together researchers in computer
vision, learning, psychophysics, and neuroscience. It was held
February 19-22, 1998 and was jointly organized by the vision group at
the NEC Research Institute and by the Computer Vision Group and the
Center for Neural Science of New York University.

The workshop featured twelve invited speakers whose talks were
followed by discussions led by local scientists. The invited speakers
were:

Yali Amit (University of Chicago)/Don Geman (University of
Massachusetts), Bill Freeman (MERL), Geoffrey Hinton (University of
Toronto), Philip Kellman (UCLA), Jitendra Malik (UC Berkeley), Mike
Merzenich (UCSF), Dov Sagi (Weizmann Institute), Guillermo Sapiro
(University of Minnesota), Shinsuke Shimojo (Caltech), Shimon Ullman
(Weizmann Institute), Paul Viola (MIT), Albert Yonas (University of
Minnesota).
