Invited speakers will be addressing recent advances in their field. On
Monday afternoon plenary speakers will give overviews of the most recent
advances in their field. Vision researchers in all fields should find this
of interest.
On Tuesday each session will have 3-5 speakers who will focus more narrowly
on the current challenges in their field. The sessions will be concurrent
and attendees can move from one session to another in much the same way as
at ARVO. Details of speakers and specific topics will follow in early
August and will also be posted on the UCBSO 75th Anniversary website -

Fleiszig, Hjelmeland, La Vail, Schor, Thibos, Westheimer, Wilcox, Williams

** This UCB Anniversary Vision Science Symposium immediately follows the
scientific meeting of the American Academy of Optometry (AAO) at the same
hotel, San Francisco Hilton & Towers (800-321-3232). This year the AAO has
agreed to provide free registration to their meeting for those who have not
previously attended an AAO meeting and who have a paper accepted for
presentation. Papers/posters should be submitted by AUGUST 10, 1998.
