Ph.D RESEARCH STUDENTSHIPS IN COMPUTER VISION

A fully-funded University Research Studentship will be available to
study the detection of changes in medical images. The long-term aim
of the project is to assist radiologists in the interpretation of
image data.
An ESPRC CASE Studentship will be available to study the development
of computer vision techniques.
Candidates should have (or expect to obtain this year) a first or
upper second class degree in computer science, physics, mathematics
or a related numerate discipline. Candidates with relevant Masters
degrees will also be considered. Regardless of degree discipline,
competence in programming will be a particular advantage. For the
CASE studentship a preference will be given to a candidate from
within the European Community.
Start date: 1 October 1998 (or asap, posts stay open until a
suitable candidate is found).
