Two year fellowships support excellence in full-time research in any School
or Dept of the University of New South Wales. To be eligible candidates mus=

have held a doctoral degree for not more than 3 years on 16 October 1988.
The award includes a stipend of $A43,079-46,243; a minimum cost return
airfare for the Fellow; and an annual allowance of $A1500.

I would encourage applicants who would like to work in my lab on topics in
space perception (especially stereo or motion) or form and object perceptio=
n
(including grouping, subjective contours and binocular occlusion) or
driving-related issues. We have MACs and PCs plus a very large stereo
display using a NEC projection TV controlled by a SG with shutter glasses.
We also have a driving simulator and a new ISCAN binocular eye movement
system. The university is in the heart of Sydney near Coogee beach and is
one of the top-ranked Australian Universities. The stipend will allow a goo=

standard of living.
