Congratulations to David R. Williams, Center for Visual Science, University
of Rochester for winning the 1998 Edgar D. Tillyer Award. This Optical
Society of America award is presented bi-annually to a person who has
performed distinguished work in the field of vision, including the optics,
physiology, anatomy, or psychology of the visual system. In David's case
the award is for distinguished work in ALL of these fields! The award will
be presented October 6 at the awards ceremony of the Annual Meeting of the
OSA in Baltimore.
