POSTDOCTORAL OPENING AT McGILL VISION RESEARCH UNIT
A postdoctoral position has become available in the McGill Vision Research
Unit in MontrČal. The position is for a person to work within the general
area of texture and/or colour psychophysics, with a special emphasis on
understanding how camouflage is broken in densely-textured naturalistic
scenes. The laboratory is well equipped with Macintosh computers, PCs with
VSG graphics cards, and image processing software such as MATLAB.
The McGill Vision Unit is a specialised research facility composed of about
fifteen faculty, postdocs and graduate students all researching into
vision. It combines expertise in psychophysics, neurophysiology, computer
modelling and brain imaging. MontrČal is a very pleasant, safe and
relatively inexpensive city to live in.
The appointment is initially for one year, renewable to three. For more
