Center for Neurobiology and Behavior
Columbia University
I am seeking a postdoctoral fellow interested in visual and oculomotor
neurophysiology in awake primates. Current work in the lab is focused on
mechanisms of sensorimotor integration in parietal and prefrontal cortex
with an emphasis on the role of attention, working memory and motor
planning. Experience with neuronal recording, C-programming
(Unix/DOS/Macintosh), and computational modeling is desirable. Candidates
with a background in Engineering, Computer Science, Math or Physics who are
seeking experience in experimental Neuroscience are encouraged to apply.
The Center for Neurobiology and Behavior is located on the Health Sciences
Campus of Columbia University in Upper Manhattan. The Center provides
excellent opportunities to interact with other faculty whose interests are
in Computational Neuroscience, Motor Control, and Learning and Memory. The
position will be available around January 1, 1999, but the starting date is
flexible. The lab is funded by a grant from the NIH. Applicants must have
