The research program is aimed at examining the contribution of selected
extrastriate cortical areas to visual perception in nonhuman primates.
The focus is on processing and storage of visual motion information.
Experimental approaches include: psychophysics, single unit recordings,
microstimulation and reversible inactivation of localized cortical
regions in animals performing behavioral tasks. Experience in visual
psychophysics and single unit recordings is preferred but candidates
with strong background in systems neuroscience and/or experience in
other sensory systems are welcome to apply.
