THE CALIFORNIA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY offers a faculty position as
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF BIOLOGY working in MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING.

The successful candidate is expected to maintain an active independent
research program, to teach, and to lead the development and administration
of a planned magnetic resonance (MR) center. The position will be at the
assistant professor level, and is tenure-track with an initial appointment
of four years, although exceptional candidates at more advanced levels will
also be considered. Applicants should have relevant training such as MR
physics or imaging. They must have a Ph.D. degree and should have
extensive experience in magnetic resonance research, particularly as
applied to brain imaging. Essential qualifications are the ability to
develop techniques in MR and the ability to apply MR to solve important
biological problems.

Applications should include a curriculum vitae, a statement of research
plan, and three letters of recommendation. This material should be sent to
