A postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Ophthalmology at the
University of British Columbia and BC's Children's Hospital is available
June 1, 1999. We use psychophysics and functional MRI to study perception
in the normal, diseased and developing human visual system. Specific
projects focus on dyslexia, amblyopia and basic mechanisms of motion
perception. Check out our webpage for more details on these projects:
www.interchange.ubc.ca/giaschi. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in
experimental psychology or a related field, extensive experience with
psychophysical and statistical methods, and Macintosh programming skills.
Experience working with children would be an asset. The salary is $29,000
CDN per year plus benefits.
