Hoover, please post. Thanks, Lynn
The Perception and Cognition Graduate Program at Miami University of Ohio
is currently accepting applications for training toward the Ph.D. degree.
We offer a strong, quantitatively-oriented program in vision, perception,
and cognition, with an emphasis on models of processes and mechanisms
underlying perceptual and cognitive phenomena. Miami University is located
35 miles north of Cincinnati and enrolls 20,000 students with 2,000 in its
nine graduate programs. All admitted graduate students are guaranteed full
financial support for four years. Because this support is from the
University and not tied to a particular laboratory, students may choose to
work with any Psychology faculty member at any point in their careers.
Individual faculty members may be contacted directly from their websites
for additional information. The deadline for Fall 1999 applications was Feb
1. However, because CVnet has been down and notices delayed, we will be
accepting applications beyond the deadline. Please contact individual
faculty immediately (see website for information) if you are interested in
aplying.
Openings are currently available in each of the following laboratories:
Gordon Allen Ph.D (Thinking, Memory)
Leonard Mark Ph.D (Perception and Action)
Lynn A. Olzak Ph.D (Visual Perception)
Allan Pantle Ph.D (Visual Perception)
Jay Smart Ph.D (Perception and Action)
Robin Thomas Ph.D (Categorization, Math Models)
Phillip Best Ph.D (Associated Faculty, Neuroscience)
Stephen Berry Ph.D (Associated Faculty Neuroscience)
