GRADUATE RESEARCH ASSISTANTSHIP AVAILABLE
Perception of Natural Scenes ñ University of Louisville

There is an opening in an excellent vision Ph.D. program (see
http://www.athena.louisville.edu/a-s/psychology/psp.html/) for a student to
begin this summer (or Fall ë99 semester) to participate in on-going sponsored
research in one or more of the areas listed below. Full stipend and tuition
remission provided. Interested students should contact Ed Essock
(eaesso01@athena.louisville.edu) for more information. Inquiries should be
made as soon as possible as this is a post-deadline opening.

ñ Visual search, segmentation and object recognition in natural scenes
ñ Human performance with nighttime images (e.g., infrared, low-light, fused
false-color)
ñ Analysis of spatial structure of natural scenes
ñ Acquisition and representation of depth information in computer vision
systems (see http://www.cvip.uofl.edu/)
