CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
The European Conference on Visual Perception provides an annual forum
for
the presentation of original papers and posters on all aspects of vision
and visual perception. The XXII ECVP will be organised by the
Department
of Psychology of the University of Trieste in collaboration with the
International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA-ISAS). Scientists and
students from Europe and all parts of the world are invited to
participate.
The programme will include the traditional Kanizsa Lecture, which is
hosted each fall as part of the annual Trieste Symposium on Perception
and
Cognition.
SUBMISSIONS
Abstract submission will be primarily electronic via the ECVP 99 Web
Page
(http://ecvp99.univ.trieste.it). For those who do not have access to
the
Web, abstracts may be sent to the organisers by conventional mail. The
deadline for abstract submission (which will be strictly adhered to) is
15
March 1999. First authors will be notified by 8 May 1999 whether their
abstracts have been accepted. The first author may only be a first
author
on one presentation. First authors are expected to present, and they
can
indicate whether they would prefer their work to be presented as a paper
or
as a poster although, as usual, the number of paper slots will be
limited
by the programme. When submitting your abstract, take care to list its
components in the following order: title, authors, addresses, abstract
body. Avoid block capitals. Each part of the affiliation address
should
be separated by commas. Include one contact e-mail address. Supply
full
references in the body of the abstract, not as a separate section. In
the
abstract body, use no more than 200 words. If in doubt consult the ECVP
98
online abstracts (http://www.pion.co.uk/perception/ecvp98/) or the
relevant
issue of the journal Perception.
