Two Post-doctoral fellowship research positions are available immediately
at the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of
Illinois at Chicago. Positions are in an active group using molecular
biology and transgenic mouse technology to generate animal models for human
retinal diseases. Experience in molecular and/or cell biology including
histology, immunocytochemistry and electron microscopy is preferred. The
research will focus on developing new means of interventions to rescue the
death of the photoreceptor cells in transgenic models for human retinal
