A post-doctoral position is available to participate in studies of signal
processing mechanisms in visual perception of motion and texture.
Approaches include: single unit electrophysiology and optical imaging
(cat visual cortex); psychophysics and fMRI (humans); and
computational modeling - for more information and examples of past or

The position is available Sept 1, but the starting date is flexible; the
duration is for one year with possibility of renewal for 1-2 additional
years. Previous experience with any of the following would be desirable:
neurophysiology; human psychophysics; computer programming (C,
Matlab); computer simulation; advanced mathematics.

The laboratory is one of a close-knit group of vision labs having a
community of trainees and faculty who interact and collaborate on a
