I am particularly interested in those candidates interested in the
exploring the relationships between
the visual environment (e.g., natural scenes) and visual coding. Those with
experience in psychophysics, modeling and/or neural networks are encouraged
to apply.

Postdoctoral Fellowships, Cornell University
Postdoctoral positions are available in an NIMH-funded multidisciplinary
program that focuses on biological and psychological approaches to issues in
development (broadly construed).
Focal areas of interest include development of perception and cognition,
neural
networks, communication systems and relations between language and vision.
These are represented by faculty in neuroanatomical, physiology, comparative,
cognitive, behavioral and computational areas. Faculty in vision are David
Field,
James Cutting Barbara Finlay, Howard Howland and Michael Spivey-Knowlton,
and possibly two new faculty who will be announced shortly.
