Subject: Advice on data acquisitions systems

Dear CVNetters,

I looking at data acquisition systems (hardware and software) for
storing action potential waveforms, eye movements, etc. I would greatly
appreciate advice on the merits of the following systems (or any other
that I should consider): CED 1401 and Spike2 software, DataWave Discovery,
AlphaOmega AlphaMAP. Ideally, I would like a device with software that I
can use straight off, but which is also flexible enough to be programmed
from scratch (preferably in C/C++) in the future.
I am happy to post a summary if others are interested.
