The Position: You will be required to take on responsibility for teaching
duties in the BOptom course and BSc in Vision Sciences. You will be expected to
maintain an active research programme supported by external research funding. Some
research establishment funds will be available in the first instance.
The Person: You will have a PhD in clinical or basic vision sciences and a
proven track record of postdoctoral research in the clinical or basic vision
sciences. Ideally you will have an optometric qualification that will enable you to be
licensed to practice in Australia, although candidates with a strong background
in the applied vision sciences are also encouraged to apply. A demonstrated
commitment to quality teaching and capacity to sustain an externally funded
research programme are required for this position.
The Benefits: Salary (AUD) $48,636 - $57,756 p.a. (Lecturer Level B); $59,578 -
$68,699 p.a. (Senior Lecturer) An appointment may be made at the Senior
Lecturer level to a suitably qualified and experienced applicant.
