</bold>The Centre for Eye Research (Kelvin Grove campus) was established
in 1988 to conduct research into the applied, clinical and theoretical
aspects of the visual and ophthalmic sciences. The Centre is seeking to
appoint a Postdoctoral Fellow to conduct and lead research within any of
the following targeted areas of interest: characteristics of
accommodation and ocular aberrations; visual optics and contact lenses;
low vision assessment and mobility studies; mechanisms of eye growth,
including both animal and human stuudies of refractive error development;
and visual performance and driving, particularly in the elderly.
Appointment is fixed-term for two years.
<bold>Qualifications/skills: </bold>Applicants must have a relevant PhD
and research interests compatible with the Centre's areas of
concentration.
<bold>Salary:</bold> Australian $42,424 to $45,539 pa
