AMERICAN OPTOMETRIC FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES SOLA OPTICAL RESEARCH GRANTS
The American Optometric Foundation (AOF) is now accepting proposals for two
research grants sponsored by Sola Optical. AOF, inconjunction with the
American Academy of Optometry Research Committee, will award these
competitive grants to fund basic or clinical research in the area of
ophthalmic lenses.
There will be two one-year awards of up to $5,000 each.
Submission of materials must be received no later than August 1, 1999.
Each proposal must include the following:
Abstract (1 page)
Budget (1 page)
Budget Justification (2 pages)
Biographical sketch(es) of Principal and Co-investigator(s) (2 pages each)
-Education/Training
-Research and Professional Experience
-Honors and Awards
-Publications (refereed) for the last 3 years and representative earlier
Specific aims (1 page)
Background and significance (2 pages)
Preliminary studies (2 pages)
Study design and methods (5 pages)
References (2 pages)
