Post-Doctoral Research Position

Spatial Vision and Perceptual Organization
A post-doctoral research position in psychophysics is available in Bill
Geisler's laboratory. Current psychophysical and computational projects
include: (1) contour detection and integration in complex backgrounds, (2)
texture segregation on the basis of local spatial structure, (3) spatial
mechanisms for coding motion direction. Facilities include several eye
trackers (a binocular SRI eye tracker, an ASL head-free eye tracker, an ASL
helmet mounted eye tracker), plus a vast array of computer resources. The
laboratory also has an outstanding technical staff. The Department of
Psychology and CVIS provide a stimulating environment for researchers with
an interest in vision and visual cognition. For more information see,

Preference will be given to applicants with experience in both
psychophysics and modeling. Salary and benefits are competitive. The
position is available immediately, although the start date is somewhat
flexible. The appointment will be for one year, with the possibility of
