POST-DOCTORAL POSITION IN VISION AVAILABLE (SALARY 15,735-19,197 POUNDS) -
DEPT OF OPTOMETRY, UNIVERSITY OF BRADFORD

I currently have one post-doctoral position in my laboratory for a visual
psyhophysicist. The appointment will be for one year and the salary will be
15,735-19,197 pounds, dependant on experience of the candidate.

I am interested in using psychophysical and computational methods to study
motion perception, perception around blindspots, spatial vision, and
attention. Facilities in my laboratory include several different types of
computers and stimulus generators. The Department has an active and
growing psychophysical group with plenty of interaction within the group.

The candidate should have a strong interest in visual psychophysics,
adequate experience in designing and setting up psychophysical experiments
in one or more of the areas listed above, and a PhD in psychology,
neuroscience, optometry or computer science. Programming abilities and/or
mathematical skills are a big plus.

Interested candidates should send me their CV and names of references
before 31 August 1999, either via email (s.p.tripathy@bradford.ac.uk) or
via regular mail (Srimant Tripathy, Dept of Optometry, University of
Bradford, Richmond Road, Bradford BD7 1DP, UK). Please feel free to
contact me if you have queries regarding the position.
