Hoover,

Please post the following.

Thanks,

Dear Colleagues,

Advice on the following low-level technical question would be appreciated.
We have been using a Polaroid Polarview 85 LCD projector to display simple
stiumuli generated by a standard VGA card. We now wish to drive the
projector with a CRS VSG2/2 card, configured in VGA mode. However, it
doesn't work, even though the VSG will drive a standard VGA monitor
perfectly well. All the signs suggest that the problem lies in the
vertical sync pulse produced by the VSG card, which the projector appears
to be seeing only intermittently. Before we try to modify the sync pulse,
we'd like to find out what the projector is expecting (polarity, height,
width of sync pulse). However, despite two approaches, the UK Polaroid
help desk won't tell us. They are friendly and polite, but they never
come back with the answer. This seems like the sort of information one
might look up in a manual, and we asked if they would sell us one, but
again no answer emerged.

So, can anyone out there help us with a spec. for the vertical sync pulse
for a Polarview 85 projector ? And does anyone out there have a manual for
this or the Polarview 85E projector ? Unless this is massive, we'd gladly
pay the cost of a photocopy + mailing.

By the way, the projector does a good job in reproducing our static, black
and white stimuli, though it seems a little heavy on bulbs.

Any advice gratefully received.
