Individuals who hold or expect to gain a PhD in maths, physics, engineering,
vision science, or related disciplines are encouraged to apply for a 16-month
EPSRC-funded research project entitled "Higher-order statistical regularities
in natural scenes". Another project, "Image-difference metrics based on
higher-order statistics", may also be funded, either separately or as an
extension to the EPSRC project.
The successful applicant will join an expanding, interdisciplinary
research team working in a novel and exciting research area, and will have
the opportunity to acquire or develop skills in computational modelling
and visual psychophysics.
