Subject: Visual Neuroscience Training Program fellowship at Johns Hopkins

Under an NIH-sponsored Visual Neuroscience Training Program,
candidates are sought for a one-year postdoctoral fellowship at
the Lions Vision Research and Rehabilitation Center, a division of the
Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins.

Research will concentrate on vision test development and validation in
individuals with severely reduced sight, but broader involvement in
intraocular prosthesis development and retinal cell transplantation
research is possible. A background in visual psychophysics or
electrophysiology and an interest in work with visually impaired
individuals are required.

US citizens and permanent residents can be accepted for this NIH-
funded position.

The fellowship is for one year, starting in the fall of 1999. Extension
to a second year of funding is possible.
