Pre and Postdoctoral positions in Biopsychology, Ruhr-Universit”t

The Department of Psychology (AE Biopsychology) at the Ruhr-Universit”t
Bochum, Germany, is seeking a post-doctoral researcher (BATIIa, i.e.
approx. 80.000 DM p.a.) to participate in a new, interdisciplinary
program of research in the perception of biological motion patterns and
its role in social recognition. The outstanding office, laboratory and
equipment facilities provided by our excellent new accommodation gives
unrivalled opportunities for ambitious scientists.
Applicants should have a PhD in biological sciences, psychology or
physics and a strong background in one (or several) of the following
areas: a. electrophysiological & neuroanatomical methods, b.
mathematical/computational skills & pattern recognition, c. visual
perception & ethology.
Within the same research program, we are also offering a PhD studentship
(BATIIa/2, i.e. approx. 40.000 DM p.a.) to a skilled and motivated
student of biological sciences, psychology, physics or engineering.
