Lecturer in Vision Science (2 Posts) at Coleraine

These are newly established full time posts, one of which is permanent
(Ref:C99/334) while the other is fixed term (5 years) (Ref: C99/335). The
appointees will be expected to enhance the work of the Vision Science
Research Group.

Both postholders will be expected to contribute to teaching and/or clinical
training of optometry students as well as enhancing the work of the Vision Science
Research Group. The Vision Science Group is an important part of the School's
Biomedical Science research effort awarded a 5-star grade in the last UK Research
Assessment Exercise. Development of Vision Science research is a stated objective of
the University's highly selective research strategy.

Applicants must possess a First or Second Class Honours degree in Vision Science or a
related discipline, and hold a Professional qualification in Optometry. At least
three years experience in Vision Science research is essential for both positions as is
experience of supervising Optometry students during clinical training.

Salary: 16655 - 29048 british pounds per annum
