Research Assistant Position in Visual Psychophysics for Vision Rehabilitation
Position available for a full-time research assistant to work in the vision
rehabilitation lab at the Schepens Eye Research Institute, Harvard Medical
school (http://www.eri.harvard.edu/faculty/peli/index.html). The lab
conducts research on image processing in relation to visual function,
clinical psychophysics in low-vision rehabilitation, image understanding
and evaluation of display-vision interaction, oculomotor control and
binocular vision. This job involves assisting with experiments, including
all phases of the research from the design of experiments to the
preparation of stimulus materials, the running of subjects, the analysis of
the data, and the preparation of the data in figures for talks and papers.
This position requires a bachelor degree in an area related to vision
science and extensive experience with Mac and PC environments. Any
knowledge of experimental psychology, visual psychophysics, or statistics
would be a plus. This job is ideal for anyone interested in research in
vision science and is an ideal stepping-stone to graduate school. The
position is available now. Commitment of at least one year is required,
