POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCH POSITION
University of Rochester, Center for Visual Science
Visual processing in ventral extrastriate cortex
A postdoctoral research position is available immediately to study
the effects of transitory inactivation of cortical area V4 in macaques on
both receptive field properties in inferotemporal cortex and psychophysical
performance. The focus of the research will be visual functions that depend
on the ventral cortical stream, including visual grouping, segmentation,
shape constancy and form recognition.
Candidates should have a PhD in neuroscience or a related field.
Background and skills related to system neurophysiology, such as computer
programming (C, Matlab, LabView), computational modelling of visual
processing, visual psychophysics, and single unit physiology are
desirable, but not necessary.
Salary and benefits are competitive. For further information contact
