* Postdoc available - motion physiology and perception in monkeys *
* lab of Kenneth H. Britten, UC Davis *
***************************************************************************
A postdoctoral position is available at the Center for Neuroscience
at UC Davis, in the lab of Ken Britten. Work in the lab focuses on the
processing of visual motion information in the dorsal extrastriate cortex
of awake, behaving monkeys. We use a range of approaches, including
physiological, perceptual, and computational techniques. The exact project
will depend on the interests and experience of the successful applicant.
Useful background would include extracellular physiology, psychophysics, and
modeling. Comfort with comuputers, especially Unix, would be highly
desirable. The position is funded for at least two years, renewable on
a yearly basis given adequate progress.
The Center for Neuroscience has a large, active community of
systems neuroscientists, providing a lively local research environment.
Davis is a small university town in California's Central valley, close
to the mountains and many Northern California recreational and cultural
attractions.
Please provide a CV, letter of intent, and the names of 2-4 references.
