The Brain and Cognitive Sciences Graduate Program at Miami University of Ohio
is currently accepting applications for training toward the Ph.D. degree. We
offer a strong, quantitatively-oriented program in vision, perception, and
cognition, with an emphasis on models of processes and mechanisms underlying
perceptual and cognitive phenomena. Miami University is located 35 miles north
of Cincinnati and enrolls 20,000 students, with 2,000 in its nine graduate
programs. All admitted graduate students are guaranteed full financial support
for four years. Because this support is from the University and not tied to a
particular laboratory, students may choose to work with any among
Psychology faculty member at any point in their careers, and benefit from
collaborative research interests among faculty members. Information about
graduate study at Miami University can be found at www.muohio.edu. The
Psychology Department home page and further information about the program can
be found at: http://miavx1.muohio.edu/~psycwis/. We encourage prospective
students to contact faculty directly via mail links available at individual
websites. Review of applications for Fall 2000 begins Nov 1 and continues
until Feb 1, 2000.
