1999 OSA Young Investigator Award
I am pleased to announce that Gokhan Malkoc (University of Nevada-Reno) has
received the 1999 Young Investigator Award of the Optical Society of
America. The Young Investigator Award is given to the best student
presentation within the Division of Vision and Color at the OSA Annual
Meeting, and is based on scientific rigor, originality, and clarity of
presentation. Gokhan received the award for his presentation
"Color-luminance coding and the McCollough Effect," co-authored with
Michael A. Webster, also at the University of Nevada-Reno.
