A postdoctoral position is available to study visual
and oculomotor processes contributing to spatial cognition.
Studies involve single neuron recording in awake, behaving
monkeys trained to perform spatial tasks. Current
projects focus on extrastriate, parietal, and frontal
cortex.
The laboratory is located in the Center for the Neural
Basis of Cognition, an interdisciplinary Center at the
University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University.
The surrounding neuroscience community is large and varied,
with strengths in systems neuroscience, functional imaging,
neuropsychology, and computational and cognitive neuroscience.
