FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT & CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
The fourth European Low Vision Conference
EUROSIGHT 2000
will be held in Veldhoven, the Netherlands
3-6 september 2000
organised by the dutch Low Vision organisations:

under the auspices of the International Society for Low Vision Research
and Rehabilitation (ISLRR)
The conference will be held at the Golden Tulip Conference Hotel
"Koningshof" at Veldhoven, The Netherlands. "Koningshof" is a
combination of a conference centre and hotel, with a diversity of sport
facilities. During the conference several corporate and organizational
exhibitors will show their latest advances in vision devices,
technologies and accessible designs.
Registration options will be known in the second announcement. The
second announcement will be mailed in March 2000; when you fill out and
return the reply card (below) before 15 January 2000 you will receive
it automatically.
There is a limited number of participants, therefore places will be
offered on first come, first serve base. Registered ISLRR members will
have a discount on the conference fee.
Acceptance of abstracts can only take place after receiving your
registration payment.

cooperation with the dutch low-vision institutes BartimČus and Visio.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
Participants are invited to submit abstracts reflecting one or more
topics as indicated above. Abstracts can be submitted as printed text
or by email.
Requirements for abstract submission:
- in English, with a maximum of 100 words
- clearly display the title and authors
- clearly display department/institute/company + address
- the abstract should contain a concise description of the purpose,
methods, results and conclusions
- complete and return the pre-registration form that can be found at
the bottom of this email
Additional requirements for printed text:
- minimum fontsize 12pt, double linespacing.
- If possible, save the abstract on a 3 1/2" PC floppy disk in plain
ASCII format and send it together with the printed version. Put your
name on the disklabel.
- Figures should be send on a seperate sheet of paper.
Additional requirements for email:
- send the abstract as plain ASCII text, do not use attachments. Start
the subjectline with the word "ABSTRACT", followed by your first
initial and family name (for example: ABSTRACT J. SMITH).
An abstractbook will be available at the beginning of the conference.
